Seek mp3 manager/player software

I'm looking for mp3 manager software with a specific feature.

I want a program that will display my library in rows down the screen, with columns for genre, artist and album and artist in that order. I don't care about track level info and don't want to see it. I want to be able to sort by columns, i.e., group all the same genre together, within that all the same artist. I want to be able to double click on an album or icon next to the line showing the album and start the album playing. So the screen would look something like:

country___Dixie Chicks______Fly
country___Dixie Chicks______Home
country___Lyle Lovett______Pontiac
jazz______Miles Davis______Kind of Blue
jazz______Miles Davis______Sketches of Spain
jazz______John Coltrane____A Love Supreme
classical__Bach____________Mass in B Minor

etc etc

So I can click on the Dixie Chicks Home line, or an icon at the beginning of it and the player will play the album without me having to create a playlist or anything.

So far I've tried M$ Media Player, Winamp, MusicMatch Jukebox, Media Jukebox 8, and none of them do what I want. The closest is MusicMatch, but the columns are in the wrong order and I can't change them around and you have to drag the tracks into a playlist to be able to play. Media Player lets you click on an album to play, but doesn't display the other info. I'm tired of downloading programs and having to unistall them.

Any suggestions? If the program won't do exactly what I've described, I'm not interested.

Thanks,

Nolo

If your MP3's are properly tagged then the MEXP plugin for Winamp 2.X is close to perfection (you can customize its display in numerous ways). Unfortunately it's commercial.

Thanks for the tip, scarecrow, MEXP is better than anything I've tried so far, though not perfect.

J. River's Media Center 9.1 did the trick. Just about exactly what I was looking for. It's commercial, though.

Thanks to all who replied.

it is possible to change the columns in MMjb's library settings. Options/Settings/Music Library. pick the columns and each subject in the order you want. i use MMjb myself for ripping, tag editting, and overall organization and it worx great. im not too over joyous about the new upgrade with the new d/l (in other words buy for round .99$) option and mmjb radio. the software now take much resources , so i uninstalled and reinstalled the old version. here's a list of available mmjb versions

if you have an older pc with not alot of ram or anything else , i don' t reccomend d/ling anything higher than 7.5( 7.2 actually but i like to be as updated as possible) good lux!!!
