Scratched PS2 Games

Good Afternoon,

I was wondering if anyone has any tips or software option changes i can try to backup some of my ps2 games that dont seem to want to copy. They get an error at certain parts of the backup. I believe due to some light scratches.

I have tried cleaning the DVD's but no luck.

Burner is a Plex708A firm 1.04 and the apps i have tried include RecordNowMax, DVD Decryptor, Alcohol 120, Nero.. they are end up stopping half way with an error.

Note, this is just while backing the game up to my hard drive (which has plenty of room).

You can try to "remove" the scratches using a very mild abrasive.
Most repairing kits out there are both very expensive and disk destroyers. I know people that had good results by using ordinary toothpaste (yeppp...), but the best solution seems to be applying Brasso with a soft cloth 2-3 times, leaving about 30 minutes between each appliance on the disk.
Sounds improbable to work, but in fact it DID repair for me a semi-unreadable data DVD, and a couple of scratched audioCD's.

I have used Simichrome Polish and a soft rag or tissue. Its very mild and I have saved several CD's using. Make sure the disk and cloth are clean and rub in a moving circular pattern.
