I assume you are saying that you BOUGHT these DVDs from the DVD Shop, if they were rentals it would be theft.

Going on that assumption, what do you mean by glitchy problems? Perhaps you can supply some concrete details on the problems that arise, and also how you manage to get them to show themselves.

yes i did buy the originals and as i was trying to back them up the scene selection are flicking about as though they cant make there minds up and sometimes some ofthe scenes eg 1_4
or whatever r there in the menu but cant access them and then when i do jump to a scene the picture goes all blocky and sometimes its as though its in fast forward but the main movie works perfect so i dont actually get any coasters but its very annoying hope this helps
many thanks

Hmm... questions for you:

1) Do you get this weird behavior when you play these on your PC? Or only when you play them on your standalone?

2) What kind of burner?

3) What kind of media? Have you used the media before?

4) Did you try playing the authored material (from DVD2ONE) off of your hard drive before you burned it? Did it work properly?

hi m8
1)seems to be fine on pc and mostly fine on stand alone but some not
2)pioneer 105
3)ive used datawrite classic /datawrite red top/verbatim/princo
traxdata , im using princo at the mo 4x but ive been burning at 1x
i did 5 straight off then one dodgy
but ive had similar results on the other media
4)i dont know how to do this so could u tell me please m8
many thanks gibby

On dvd decrypter do you have the ignore read errors or the fast error skip on? Some people have these checked but why would you want to have a dvd with errors. The macroblocks you get can also be caused by using the computer while your doing the video. Whether your ripping, compressing, or burning, just let your computer finish first before you use it. If you try to multi-task while doing video you have more of a chance of it messing up.

If your discs are always playing fine on the PC, but occasionally have problems on the standalone, I would think it is a media incompatiblity with the standalone. Does it happen with each of the brands of disc that you mentioned? Or only with the Princos?

not just on princo the others aswell could it be the compression
or is it just one of those things
cheers gibster

Just for the hell of it, try a DVD-RW instead. Some players like them a lot better. See if you still have the problem.

scene select

but in mean time many many thanks for all the responces
nice to get some feedback

I would also suggest you upgrade your DVD2One to the latest version 1.1.3 and see if the problem still exists for you. The All-in-one dvd 2 dvdr converts tend to fail on some dvd's for unknown reasons. With each new version, the list of problem dvds decreases. As a general rule, always update to latest versions asap.
