SB Audigy Platinum ex HD

Well, after so many hours of trouble shouting I finally decided never buy another SoundBlaster (Creative lab) soundcard or products. I just go my Audigy Platinum ex and this card would not work with any other drivers but the one came on the CD-ROM (which does include XP, however worked). The problem is, I'm not getting any sound out the rear speakers and the Digital connector does seems to work either.

I have tried so many things except returning the silly product.
Never again will I waste some much time trying to get a soundblaster product to work. They noth worth it and they pack to many junk.

If any of share the same misery as I and managed to get this thing to work properly, I would a preciate a little help.

For speakers I have the Soundworks FPS2000 (another junk from Creative lab). Ohh, did I mentioned the hissing noise?

Here's my system confirugration in case:
Windows XP on a Abit AT7 (Raid), Athlon XP 2100+, Two Western Digital 120GB SE (8M Buffer), 1.5 Gb Ram (all Crucial Memory, VisionTek Geforce4 TI 4600 and a Matshita DVD and the Ricoh 5125RW+

First you posted on the wrong category, maybe that`s why nobody has answered to you.

Yes your set of speakers has aterrible hiss but perhaps you can reduce it if you mute all the inputs that are not being use (maybe AUX or/and MIC, etc...)

Now for the sound of the rear speakers first if you´re trying to use your digital output first check that you already enabled it in the mixer console (the one that comes with windows or the one that creative installed if you used that option), if there´s no sound from the rear spks when playing a cd, check that your dvd is using the spdif connector and enable that input in the windows mixer.

If you still have problems please let me know to see if I can help you
