SATA RAID on new MOBO

I have a k8T Master2-FAR motherboard with dual opterons installed VIA chipset

i want to install XP on my 2x 10000 RPM raptors HDD, i can only install on my old IDE drive, i know how to make the raid volume(create array)but when i get upto choosing where to install my xp it only shows my IDE hard drive and not my 2 SATA hdd, so i cant install on them.(there was no Floppy for F6 install for raid with MOBO) I made one anyway but because the array is not detected when i install XP i cant install on a raid array on my SATA HDDs.( i have done this before on other machines) when i look in STANDARD CMOS Features my 2 SATA drives do not show at all. only first and secondary primary and master IDE shows. it only shows my SATA array after the post check boot screen(it say hit TAB and it shows the SATA there but no where else)How do i install XP to a SATA RAID ARRAY, the manual is no good!!! all i need to do is have online when i install them, but i have no idea how this is done with this MOBO the SATA is enabled in bios??
it was easy with my intel 875p chipset, this is annoying me

Also this machine sometimes freezes and resets , now i done all the trouble shooting( change power supply , single RAM module in differant slots, reseated the CPUs, took out all PCI devices, changed agp card) and it still resets only thing left to do is change the Motherboard (which is brand new MSI one) all other parts are fine so it can only be the motherboard???, any reason for this??? could it be faulty!??

As far as getting the system to see the drives, go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, then in the lower right hand window right click on the drive that matches what you have and select enable so windows will see it, then you have the option to format, etc......

I don´t know this model but check this: in some mothers that have SATA-RAID integrated they have the options to switch between normal SATA and RAID, maybe this is why you can´t see the drives during installation.

For the freezing thing I would check out the temperature inside the case, even if your cpu and heatsinks are well seated if you don´t have the right airflow the pc might crash.
