Samsung CD-R / DVD

I'm new to this but can anyone suggest some help.

Installed the drivers for above and although it plays CDs fine as soon as you put a DVD in it freezes completely, only way out is to shut down PC. I've deleted and re-installed the driver several times.

Any help appreciated

drivers??wat type is ur samsung?usb?
could u give us more info on ur system config( operating system,burning app....)
