samsung 120gb

hi ive just bought a samsung 120gb harddrive installed it and in the bios it comes up as 33gb and in my computer because ive got another drive with windows xp on it comes up as 33gb on my computer drive d:
am i doing something wrong or what
ive put xp on the 120gb hardrive formatted of course and saying when you come to format it 33gb drive d:
please help us

wat is the filesystem r u using? fat32 or ntfs for formatting ur new drive?
if fat32 ,then it's normal u won't get to use the full 120gb of ur samsung
use ntfs instead
if u r still stuck,then it could b an issue with ur bios,r u using the latest firmware or the winxp sp1 or sp2?

Yup, it sounds like the BIOS can't initialize the whole disk capacity. Either you have to upgrade BIOS, or if a new BIOS revision is not available then using a drive overlay utility.
