Run-time error

I get the following message when I try to start DVDStripper:

Run-time error '-2147203637 (800445cb)':

CMruList component failure

Does anybody have an idea of what is wrong? It has been working before.

CMruList ic a visual C++ Utility class (Most Recently Used item management class), also widely used in Visual Basic applications. For starters- try (re)installing the VB6 runtime libraries, which might have got messed.

Thanks (but). I have reinstalled VB6 runtime libraries but I get the same error.

Are you running Win9X/ME? It's quite laborous to fix such problems in those OS'es.
If it's 2000/XP, pass the most recent Dr.Watson logs.

Hi,

I've the same problem on my Personal XP :( :(

I've launched DVDStripped yesterday for the first time : OK for rip with DVDDecrypter ; OK to play with Media Player Classic but when I've tried to strip 3 Cells .... there's a crash.

Since, impossible to start anyway ....

I'm running XP home Edition.

I've started DrWatson and it can't find any errors. The log is empty except that the program was started.

Maybe the program author can elaborate then, as I do not use stripper... sorry. If it was a plain runtimes error, there should be something in doctor's logfile.

What do you recomend to use?

try going into your registry using RegEdit and delete the DVDStripper folder

it's under Software/MXTMG/DVDStripper

you can use the Find command and look for DVDStripper. Delete the DVDStripper folder it finds and close RegEdit. It's best you Export the folder before deleting so if anything goes wrong you can add it back (or create a Restore point if you don't know how to export). When you start DVDStripper again it will create a new folder

I'm sure it will help but who knows?

Pleased to hear that ;)
I had exactly the same problem last night (after trying to process a particular disc of episodes of a TV series) and thought a reboot might have sorted it. Rebooted this morning, found the problem to be the same - but your solution worked for me too.

Fantastic little program you have concocted there mate.

Cheers,

hey
that was the first thing i thought to do after i rebooted the computer and it didnt work

but i could not find dvd stripper in my regedit even with search

i installed the most recent one yesterday and really it was not an install; it is just a program .exe file and i created a folder for it

i was thinking that is y i dont see a listing in my registry...is there actually an install file for the program that i overlooked?

i decrypted fine...was removing the items and went to save the job when this errror popped up

edit: nm...i was looking under local machine rather than current user

Hi maelek and welcome to the forums :)

there is no install program, just the .exe

using Regedit, you will probably find the registry entry at HKEY_Current_User\Software\MXTMG\DVDStripper or something similar

just delete that folder
