Run-time error '75' - Path/File access error

After I rip the movie with DVD Decrypter, I remove items I want and hit Process. DS runs for a few seconds then it brings up an error window:

Run-time error '75' - Path/File access error.

It then shuts down, loosing everything. I tried switching directories and following the guide that came with DS. Still no luck. It is getting frustrating  mostly because I have to re-rip the movie everytime.

Any help would be appreciated :) (BTW MackemX, I took screenshots).

Eno.

Hi and welcome to the forums :)

email the pics to me using the Contact in the Help dropdown menu in DS. I will need a snapshot of your 1st screen that contains the paths also

it's sounds like your paths are invalid

Have you tried creating new folders and ripping again that way or are you just ripping to the same folder?

when does it happen during DS processing or during Ifoedit?

Yes, I tried to change the directories of all variables involved. Same end result. I think the error occurs while DS is working.

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for feedback :)

does it always happen at 57%?. If it does then when its showing the error go look at the Temporary and Backup folders and take a snapshots of all the files in the folders (showing the sizes also). It may take take a few snapshots but a picture tells a 1000 words

cheers

p.s. send me an email stating your personal info and I will email you a Beta that saves projects. It will recover the files and you won't have to rerip them all the time ;)

Yes, or somewhere very close to that number. I need to get another program to take the screenshots (the one I had it was a demo that expired) but I will get them to you eventually.

I also tried again switching directories and HD but same result. Weird. Anyhow I'm sending an email for the beta your way. Thanks for the speedy replies.

Hi,

can you see the key that has print screen on it?, it's just to the right of the F12 key normally

press it next time you want to take a snapshot as this then saves the screen to the clipboard. ALT + Printscreen will save the focused window and not all the screen

now open your paint program and click paste and then the pic will appear. If you used just the printscreen then use the crop feature to crop the edges of the pic to only what you want to keep

save it as a jpg,gif or png file to keep the size down. If you save as a bitmap then zip/rar them up after as this will reduce the size dramatically

I hope this helps and Beta is on it's way :)
