RNM burning from dvd shrink files

I have used shrink/dvd decryptor to rip dvd files but RNM is not obvious how to burn them to dvd format. I have checked the f3 dvd option and recocognise dvd blah.... but still not sure and coasters aplenty.. do you have to create the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders and place all of the VOB files in that shrink creates or is it easier than that?

The sticky's in the guide are really good but use nero to describe which I have used, but RNM and Nero conflict with each other and I back up the occassional PS2 game on RNM

Any chance of popping the reply to this on a sticky in the burning guide section, as it would be really helpful..

so summary of all the blather..
How do you burn a set of shrunk files to a dvd using RNM after the main disk has been shrunk using dvd shrink

Ta in advance

Keep up the good work!

Tony ;)

RNM

Use Data Mode
Name the Burn (ie THIS IS THE DVD)
Put All the ripped files into a VIDEO_TS folder
Make an empty AUDIO_TS folder
load both folders into RNM
Burn.

It is so much simplier using CopyToDVD.
This is the procedure I use:

Software used.
DVDShrink: (Movies) ex. backing up "The Hulk"

1. Launch DVDShrink
2. Place Movie into DVD Rom (Liteon for me)
3. Create a folder on the desktop (name it ex. "The Hulk")
4. Rip movie to the newly created folder "The HULK" (I only rip the movie)
5. DVDShrink will now rip the movie to the newly created folder, which
in this case is called "The Hulk". You will get a bunch of *.BUP, *.IFO
and *.VOB files.
6. You are now done with DVDShrink

Now the burning part using...

Software used.
CopyToDVD:

1. Launch CopyToDVD
2. Create new project box pops up. Choose "Video DVD" option.
3. CopyToDVD is searching for the "VIDEO_TS.IFO" file.
a. Goto your newly created folder (The Hullk) and choose
this "VIDEO_TS.IFO" file.
b. It's the ONLY one that will be available! It's impossible to
make a mistake!
4. CopyToDVD will now burn your project

Side notes about CopyToDVD:
Make sure you do all your settings in CopyToDVD when you first
launch the program. ex: Burn speed, Prompt to rename filename
are the only 2 settings I did.
Once settings are done you should be good to go!

Hope everything works out for you.

PS I've used Nero many times before...with Nero all you need to do is
copy every single file you ripped with DVDShrink and place them in the
VIDEOTS folder. Leave the AUDIOTS folder empty. Once the files are
copied into the VIDEOTS folder, just burn away.

Sorry I couldn't help you with RNM. I just don't use it.

For backing up DVD Based PS2 games.
1. Rip with DVDDecrypter (Read in ISO mode)
2. Burn with DVDDecrypter
3. Done.

As usual. IMHO...if your backups DO NOT work using the above procedure
then it is without a doubt (IMO) the media's fault!!! Period!
They say Ritek's G04 are dam good...I can assure you "THEY ARE"!
I burn ALL my DVD medias @ 4X without ANY problems so far.

The above procedure described by the poacher is complex only for single digit IQ creatures. His "complex" method took 31 words to describe, while your "simple" one 493.
By the way, can you tell me what "simplier" means?

I apoloigize for using that phrase :(
I guess by the sound of your post...I'm a single digit IQ Human being. Thanks

I was only trying to help him using a burning program suggested by DVDShrink.

I apologize if I offended anyone :(

Regards,

You havent offended anyone, it was maybe you first line that said "It is so much simplier using CopyToDVD. " thats in question, thats all. Your help is much appreciated.

Maybe a better line would have been "There is a just as simple alternative to RNM" Also dont assume (not sure if you really did though) its the best simply because Shrink has recommended it, its strange how anyone will recommend anything when there are financial ties.
