Ripping and Burning Problem

As you all know I am something of a noob when it comes to DVD-R(RW) backups, I have made about 5 movies all with out an issue today but now I have a problem with Oceans 11.

When I use DVDXCopy Xpress it says error reading sectors, when I went to use CloneDVD-writing existig data it just sat there and did nothing. I have ripped it all with DVDDcryptor but it just sits there.

What am I doing wrong and how do I back up this movie?

When you ripped the DVD did you rip in file mode & select "ALL" files?

CloneDVD needs the whole disk ripped even if you want movie only. ;)

Yeah thanks for that Laz I'm in the middle of working that out now!

Ok here is another quick question, if I rip the movie and the size is somewhere in the area of 6.5gig, will cloneDVD compress the files to fit to one 4.7gig DVD-R?

Laz,

CloneDVD is telling me that it has 1 structure error when I go to add the file to the final write stage, What is this and how can I fix it. It was telling that I had two before I ripped it in the right region?

Ok Just so other people know, I have spoken to a mate of mine that said he had the same problem with the movie and he was unable to back it up. I have found a way around it using DVDXCopy Xpress Which was at first unable to read the disk at all.

What I did was install DVDXCopy (did not even activate it, so this means I still can't use it) but what has happened from what I can gather is it installed gear drivers which have now allowed the DVDXCopy Xpress to read and burn the movie.

Im not sure if that is the reason but I know it is working now when it was not before.
