Hi !

I do ripp some movies in the last time ...
I usually want the movie in german/english ..
Ripping the complete movie twice is a waste of time ..
Isn´t there a easy way to replace the audiostream of a DivX movie with another one ? Without reencoding the movie stream ?

Thanks for any suggestions :)

Ah, got it :D
Using DVD2AVI to process the other audio stream out of the dvd files, then using lame to encode the stream into MP3, vbr of course :)
and then using nandup to bring the audio stream back into the movie ..
Works fine :)

Yeah, nandub is just a cracked version of Virtual Dub, isn´t it ?
since vdub doesn´t support VBR encoded MP3 streams ...

I've tried this once, but the audio came out of phase with the pics.
Was rather funny to see the action first and hear the sound effects a bit later. ;)

I really love these posts where the originator sorts his own problem. Well done NB. I would have suggested the exact way you ended up doing it. DVD2AVI is great for pulling out any Audio track ever needed.

Yes, indeed, did work fine ..
and there is NO desync of sound ...
Only if you use the fast forward function or jump to a specific time stamp, then the sound is slower then the movie ..
If you start watching from the beginning, without interfere, it is synced ..
