reg error with alcohol

i installed alcohol build 1027..and ran the rack..the registrator file..now i found build 1030..and uninstalled 1027 and installed the new one...but the registration is STILL there from the old version..and NOT working..so i cant put in a new serial in it..i have looked in the registry..but no luck so far..can anyone help me please?
for clonecd there was some sort of reg scanner that deleted everyting about the program in the registry....

I've never looked at the program, but a few places to check are in the registry under programs. See if you can find an entry for the program under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE, or possibly HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software. You could also try searching in the registry for the program directory that the program installed in, but be careful what you delete, and either make a backup of the registry somehow, or before you delete a key, export it so you can merge it back in is something goes wrong. Then check not in the registry, but look for a directory under (I'm assuming XP here) C:\Documents and Settings. That's also a way to look for leftover remnants of any program after you uninstall it. You'd be surprised what gets left behind, even after using CleanSweep (which was much better before Symantec bought it from Quarterdeck Software). Remember, backup, backup, backup. Good Luck.
