Hi, its my first post in the Thread :)
I am using InstantCopy 8 to make my SVCD (it has great results and very quick 5-6 hours)
however the only problem that I have is that there are large black bar borders and I don't see the movie in full screen mode.

is there a way to fix it?

Thanks!!

Gil

I'm not an expert on this.If the original movie is "letterbox" you will see these bars. Not sure if that is the case here.

Most set top Dvd players will allow changing the view to get full screen.Otherwise I think your Svcd will require "cropping",or changing the aspect ratio to get rid of the bars.Hopefully one of the 'pros' will give you a better answer. ;)

Thanks woody, happy new year :)
Yes I know, my DVD player can make the picture larger and reduce the black bars, I was just wondering if it is possible, using InstantCopy 8, to have full screen output....

Don't know about IC8, but it is possible using say CCE/AVISynth, simply crop the sides off and resize.
Thanks for the tip!
I know CCE has good results, the problem that it will take me about 24 hours for a 90 min. DVD.
while IC8 will take around 8 hours with very nice results, just with the black bar borders...

maybe I should use CCE for DVD's that worth the time :)
