Red Alert 2 Not Working

Here is the problem, I installed RA2 on my new rig, when I try to load the game, it refuses to load (no error messages btw)

It ran fine on my old rig and I can't see any reason why it could fail other than a harware problem, here ard the specs (new bits only):

Asus P4C800-Deluxe mainboard
P4 2.4GHz 800 MHz bus
512mb of Crucial RAM
geforce FX5200 256mb
512W superflower PSU

Can anyone help?

check the game developers homepage, if the intro is encoded with the Intel Indeo codec; this codec isn't included anymore in a integrated XP SP1 install;

had similar problem symptoms with Mafia; did install PowerDVD wich includes the Indeo codec, this fixed my troubles;
