I've used both and there is not much difference (if any). Both work great, so buy the cheapest.

I recommend Record Now max 4.5 Execellent in all areas mate never had a problem with it
Sonic's is a little more updated - and if you don't need the extra features, there's also Recordnow 6.5 (non-deluxe)

If you got the Recordnow Max route, there's a Platinum version with even more (looks like a bundle with additional programs).
If you already have functional basic software with the burner, it may be worth looking for tools (including freeware) that just do the things you are missing.
Also, depending on what you have with the burner, there may be abn upgrade discount to a more powerful version of that.
