Recording live radio to harddrive?

Get a total recorder..
its really good for this :)
i mean if the radio station is on pc..if not??
just drop a cable to input of sound card and use any audio or burning proggy..example eac and feurio is free and they are good :)

If the radio is external, plug from line out/Aux out (if it has one) or headphone socket to soundcard line-in. Choos e any software that can record line-in (it's an option in many of your favourite CD-rippers) and go.

If its streamed, and to avoid buying anything else, use the same recording software, and set the souncard mixer to record from "Wave/MP3" or "What-U-Hear" - other soundcards may name it differently, but the first way taps the the single output channel, while the second taps the final mixed output - depending on the soundcard, it may tap it digitally or analog.

Total recorder enable you to tap the digital data fed to the soundcard, while there were (generally banned) programs which could directly record the stream - hunt around, and you'll probably find an illicit source for them, actually, even a fairly well respected source.

the other option, use a player with a diskwriter plugin.
