Recomendations Please

Hi all
Newbie and first time to post Here , I'm looking for a good photo/ graphic editor software which has or able to do these :
create ( image of person) to look older or younger , place Mr X face to Mr Z body , manimulate images , add or change .. hair , beard , clothing ..ect , transition effects between 2 or more images ( ex : when you view the file , first you see person Z image and within second the image is fading and transform to person X / monster or whatever ) .
Your recomendations are welcomed.. CHEERZ

The two most common S/W products for image editing are Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and JASC Paint Shop Pro 7.*. Adobe probably has the biggest reputation but if fairly complicated if you haven't done this before. PSP is a easier to use, and IMHO, as good as Photoshop.

You can D/L trial products from the following:

_http://www.adobe.com (only version 6.0 is available for tryout)

Once you pick your favourite, have a search of the forum and you'll find links to full versions of both of them
