what i did was remaster the tracks using dvdshrink directly off the disc, then burned using BAO. I have the sony DRU-510, and the disc became a coaster, sadly(these things are not cheap). Here is the log from BAO.

Track 01: Total bytes read/written: 4613750784/4613750784 (2252808 sectors).
Writing time: 1355.209s
Average write speed 22.2x.
Min drive buffer fill was 96%
Fixating...
Fixating time: 0.001s
fifo had 72672 puts and 72672 gets.
fifo was 0 times empty and 28696 times full, min fill was 95%.

any ideas? Is there some setting or something i missed?

I did mastering -> dvd video and added the folder with all the files in it that dvdshrink made, ideas?

TIA

BAO and the Sony is the problem m8. :(

Try using other software such as Stomp RNM or Nero for the burn.

BAO cannot burn DVD's with any non-Pioneer burner... it needs "dvdrecord" being replaced with "cdrecord pro-DVD" with an unlocking licence (the licence is free, but might take some time to get). please use the "search" button, you will find several other similar instances in the forum.
Since cdrecord pro-DVD is "licenced", it could not be included in BAO, which uses only unlicenced/opensource elements (without modding the sourcecode, else the developer should be forced to distribute his modded code too following the GPL, and watch his proggy being leeched in innumerable "commercial" byproducts, which don't pay any repspect to any GPL for a couple of measly bucks)... In fact some of those commercial shitwares don't modify any code, I have recently seen a commercial (highly regarded) CD ripper which is byte identical to CDex, only changing the GUI a little bit. Those lamers do not violate any GPL, they just wait for suckers to fall in...

thanks bud, is nero freeware? also, is it ok to use dvdshrink right off the DVD original?

interestingly enough, i did see that BAO and sony are a problem together, but the complaints were that it just would not burn. It did in fact burn a bopy of it, and when i put it in the PC it plays fine. DUnno if this is new or not, just food for thought.

If it played on the PC, then you're the lucky one... normally it should not play at all.
yes thats why i was wondering what was up.

So i need to replce the 'dvdrecord.exe' in the external folder of BAO with cdrecord-proDVD correct?

I got this version of the program -
cdrecord-prodvd-2.01a11-i586-pc-cygwin.exe

do i just put this in that BAO dir, or do i need to rename it or something?

Thanks alot for your help, it is greatly appreciated.
