Question in regards to Nero 5.5

I have a copy of Nero 5.5 OEM and I was wondering if it is possible to change the length of the finished product to evenly fit the product on to two cd's,

I just backed up a copy of Passenger 57 which is a little over 80 minutes long, the first cd is full at around 70 minutes but the second cd contains only about 6 minutes of footage....bit of a waste.

What I was thinking was is it possible to join the two files together some how and then cut them in the middle to make the finished product even.

I might be doing it wrong but I just burnt the final product with fantasic results, high quality no out of sync, and it was my first time so I am happy with the result but I want to learn all I can so any help would be great.

1. unless I missunderstood the question this post is in the wrong section.
2. If all u want to do is merge the film and cut into 2 equal parts, then use tmpgenc.

Thread moved!;)

I assume your talking about VCD mpg files and made from converting an AVI using Nero? Correct?

If disk 1 has 70min or movie and disk 2 has 6 min, then use VCDGear ( _www.vcdgear.com) to convert the AVSEQ01.DAT file s to a true MPG file. Then use TMPGEnc as others have suggested, go to Files/MPEG Tools/Merge & Cut and load the 2 mpg files in, in correct order, give an output name, hit Run. Soon you will have 1 76min long movie which when using Nero to make a VideoCD, will burn it to 1 80min CD.
