Hi Laz;
I'm new to the site. I was reading with interest through the forums and came across a guide you wrote back in 21-07-2003 regarding a free & easy dvd backup guide. You mentioned that the Burnatonce tool you referenced, to work in conjunction with DVD Shrink & DVD Decrypter, was only good for Pioneer DVD/RW drives and that when an alternative to BAO was available you'd reference it. I understand your original post is over a year old and I found it by chance; and if you did reference a BAO alternative it too was probably a while ago, but I've looked and haven't stumbled across it.
Please excuse my ignorance but could you possibly post a link for me so I could follow it up.
Your knowledge is quite obvious to me and I enjoy reading your posts

Thank you,

Stevejb.

Best solution is to get Shrink to make an ISO file, then burn that with DVD Decrypter if your wanting a totally free solution. Check your ISO in a Virtual Drive first if you wish before burning.

what did I do wrong ???

Hi CM; thanks for the response. Actually I did do the Shrink first and attempted to burn w/Decrypter but wasn't able to access the file. I thought I was missing software/program - or did I do something wrong. Would you be able to quickly run through the steps or offer a quick tip ?!?!?

Thanks so much.

Steve.

Just set Shrinks backup target to ISO Image File if it cannot auto find DVD Decrypter. Hit OK and soon you end up with 1 large ISO file. Run DVD Decrypter hit W (for ISO Write mode), load in the ISO file you just made and burn.
