Question Ar max action replay and dvd burning

will a backup copy of ar max just boot in the ps2 without a use of anything special? i allready have ar max action replay device just wondering if i could copy it and boot it up in my ps2 without anything special.

if i use dvd decrypter and make a backup copy of a game can i use ar max action replay and follow the steps for booting a copied game?

By "without anything special" presumably you mean a modchip. No.

With a no-swap modchip (Messiah/DMS/Matrix) you will be able to boot a backed up copy of your AR Max disc.

With a swap modchip, the answer is no again (you may be able to swap using your original and then pop in the backup?)

Potentially yes. Depends on your modchip etc.
