Question about Extras

I just purchased the program and am awaitning delivery, but I have been looking at the forum and I have a question.

First, assuming I have a DVD9 that has a movie that could fit entirely on one DVD-R and extras that would fit on another one, is there a simple way for DS to do this? I know that people like to remove certain content , but is there a "Keep everything intact but don't split the movie if you don't have to" option.

So I want the menus and extras on disk 1 and the movie on disk 2. Oh, and I want the menu to point to something that will prompt me for the insertion of disk2.

I also want world peace.

Can this program do any of this?

Thanks

Hi

welcome to the forums and thanks for buying DVDStripper :)

if you can fit the menu/movie on one DVD and the menu/extras then it's rather easy to do with DVDStripper

you can do it two ways really, you can remove all you don't want from DVD1 and process and then move the contents of the Destination VIDEO_TS folder to a new folder called DVD1 but leave the VIDEO_TS folder intact. Press UNDO and then remove all the content you don't want on DVD2 and process and this will give you DVD2

there is a thread about it HERE. In time I hope to get a simple walkthrough that will make it as easy to understand what to do. Once you get the idea you will realise how simple it is to split a DVD and how DS gives you the option of putting exactly what you want on each

the movie DVD may still be bigger than 4.37Gb but that may be because of the extra unwanted audio/subs. You can just run it through another transcoder tool to remove the audio/subs you don't want as it may still need reducing even with the audio/subs removed

there is no option to display insert Disc 2 yet, I'm sorry. There are methods on how to do this manually and if I had the time I would tell you how but I'm sure someone else can spare the time to do it, as I'm rather busy at the minute

cheers
