You can't.

Thats the "magic" of pdf; you can distribute you document and be sure it won't get modified. For this, you must have the source of the document.

You may change a bit of text but its really painful. You surely can't change pictures.

Maybe you could try to copy everything, paste it into a word document, and convert it to pdf after with Acrobat Pro (not the free reader)

Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional
US$449.00
http://www.adobe.com/store/products/master.jhtml;jsessionid=I4YYTYDGTZ1NLQFI0ILB2SOAVDJBIIV1?id=catAcrobatPro

or

Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional upgrade
for licensed users of Acrobat 4.x, 5.x, or 6.0 Standard
US$149.00
http://www.adobe.com/store/products/master.jhtml;jsessionid=I4YYTYDGTZ1NLQFI0ILB2SOAVDJBIIV1?id=catAcrobatPro

Or you could try OpenOffice.org v1.1 RC2 @ http://www.openoffice.org wich may do pdf document for free :)

good luck!

Thanks for responding. I understand the logic behind the pdf file not being altered, but with adobe 6 full version (im pretty sure i have the full blown version), it allows you to copy text, delete text, put a line over text, export all images, etc...i also see an option to replace text, but when i try to choose that option, it puts a line over the old text and popup a box for me to insert new text and then shows the caret at thepoint of insertion, but that's as far as i got; i tried to save as another document hoping that the new text will supersede the old text, but it didnt :(

i finally worked around it by inserting all the images to a word document and then play with it in word, but it was very elementary; i was hoping adobe 6 new features would make things easier. :(

I think you will need something like Pitstop to have the job done:

IMHO version 6 of Acrobat is still filled to the brim with minor or major annoyances- is there any good reason preferring it over ver. 5?
hi scarecrow,

i never heard of pitstop before;i heard of www.pcpitstop.com heheh.

Well, i have been using adobe acrobat 5 all this time until recently when i tried to print a pdf that's created by adobe acrobat 6; it gave me problems because it printed out weird fonts, so someone suggested upgrading to adobe 6 might cure the problem, so i did;

i actually like v6 because it has more editing features that v5 didnt have, such as copying images, and text and exporting images from the pdf which didnt exist in v5; i'm sure there's a lot more that one can do with v6 but i m just a newbie to it so i am learning bit by bit from running to a problem.

i checked that link you posted; pitstop for 1 user in windows is $599 dollars; yikes!!!! I dont think i can ever afford that :) I am sure you can find other smaller programs that are cheaper and may do the job.
