Q 4 Chickenman

Hi Chickenman,

I followed your Tutorial for DVD to SVCD with excellent results, however I have one problem, recently I ripped the movie Carlito's Way (Widescreen) with great results but I get a Black Border at the bottom of the screen with the Cinema Craft Encoder Logo on it! Is there anyway to remove this Border & Logo.

Ps.

Keep up the good work with your Tutrials there EXCELLENT!! :p

Ive never used this program so I wouldent know but If you are going to rip movies I would personally use Smartripper and DVDx to crunch both work perfectly, But I think chickenman will be able to help out more then me so dont despair,

the Bird,

tOucan, I suggest you use DVD2SVCD to make your SVCD's, DVDx is very "average" even if you use CCE.

colza888, your problem is your copy of CCE is not cracked properly. Waht version of CCE are your using?

Have a read of this thread, all your answers should be in there.

Have you tryed the DVDx 2.0??? The results on this when set to highest on every angle are as good as a DVD but at a cost of 4 discs a movie,But as your the DVD pro I will stand by your choice I might try it out even, :)

t0ucan, anything above DVDx 1.7 crashes on my PC. Its the only software I have ever seen crash on my setup, so no. The re-sizing, audio options, etc of DVDx do not compare to anything DVD2SVCD can provide. Just give it a try, and then speak to any die-hard SVCD ripper and ask them what they use. You might be in for a surprise.

colza888, no crack attached, but I did mine 9 months or more ago so cant remember. The crack I used is attached and I have ver 2.50.01.00. Just copy the attached file to your folder where CCE is installed and run it.

Just one more Q!

I've just formatted my machine (to much Sh!t on it) what is your preferred OS for DVD Ripping & Gaming ?

I've two available "XP Pro" or "Win2000 Pro"

For most they will suggest win2K pro (simply less hassels), but I like winXP pro (once you get all the gremlins out).
I would suggest though to go with win2K pro for simplistic sake & stability, but if you know what you're doing with winXP then you can also use it.
(myself using winXP pro, but CM & most others using win2K pro for their encoding)
