i have 2 movies, one says it's a telesync vcd/kvcd mpeg
and the other says it's a video clip mpeg layer3.

will i have to convert these to put them on disc or can i just put them on as they are?

You can put them on disc, same as you can put any files on disc. If you mean put them on disc and have them play in a regular standalone, then the KVCD you should be ok if you burn as a non compliant VCD. The AVI you would need to convert.
