putting encryption on DVD-R so others cannot copy

I have a business where I record my customers wedding, birthdays and other special occasions onto DVD-R's. My finished product can easily be put into a PC and other DVD'd can be made from it.

I know that all encrytions can be broken; however, not everyone know where to go or where to purchase encrytion breaking software.

Putting an encrytion will at least stop the majority of my customers from making their own copies. They would then have to come to me for the extra copies.

If there is a such a program that allows me to encode a DVD-R after I make it...this encoding should not affect the viewing and/or playing of the DVD-R when it is played in DVDPlayers.

Is there any such program that can do this.

Even if you somehow had managed to put your hands on CSS encoding software (utterly unlikely at any price) you would still need a glass mastering machine to put it on DVD... an ordinary burner would not suffice. You might wish to buy a licence to use Macrovision protection on your DVD's though (better known as ACP), which is feasible with a normal burner, but they don't charge cheap.

No retail DVD Burner can burn CSS encrypter video so doent even waste your time trying. However, Maestro (if you use that to author your DVDR's) has some things you can do to an image that can stop dvdr to HD simple copying. I have never tested it though (nor need to) so have no idea if it works or not. Worth a try.
