Putting a movie on VHS into the PC

I apologize if this is a really dum question, but can some1 tell me how to transfer a movie on vhs into my computer?

it's not a dum question it's just one that has been answered many times, just search for it. In a short and simpler way you need a video card with a TV input where to connect your VCR to your putter and digitalize the VHS movie

Just done one a few days ago-Gladiator (recorded TV version on VHS (LP,should have used SP.. ),saved in MPEG-2),using NVidia WDM Video Capture (Leadtek WinFast PVR)..Now to edit the commercials out using Ulead Video Studio 6 SE DVD..Then we`re set.Not a patch on the quality or extra content of the DVD version,but at least it`s something to watch that isn`t inherently illegal...
