psd files ??? Help please

I've been give a CD with a load of music files on it and among them are some .psd files.
According to my knowledge (which isn't good) .psd files are Adobe PhotoShop files but before the composer of the CDR left to go to America he told me that they were all music files.
Can anyone tell me if this is a re-naming file extention fix to get these to a more well known format or does anyone know how to get music from a .psd file.
I'm downloading Blaze MediaConvert as this was mentioned when I did a search
of the forum for info. on psd files.

If anybody can help with this I'd be grateful.

Geoff

.psd are to my knowledge too (which is not terribly good either) Adobe Photoshop documents, and I could not ffind any other reference to that extension at the usual extension's places... so I cannot help, sorry.

Thanks for looking into it for me anyway Scarecrow.

Looks like I'll never get to hear anything from these files.

I think I'll have to put on my new Dido album and forget them.

Best regs.

If they are Photoshop (PSD) files, then Irfanview - www.irfanview.com - with plugins, should be able to show them.

It sounds horribly like they may be cover pictures of an MP3'd album, but it could be photos and a family sing-song - I'm cutting you a hell of a lot of slack here!

Many thanks to you too LTR12101B for your thoughts on this.

You'll never guess this but just before your post came through I renamed the file extension to mp3, no good. I then changed it to a zip file, opened it up with WinRAR and inside was a WMA music file that plays OK.

I suppose this is a compression thing to save on size? Well it nearly compressed my brain 'cos I was halfway through a nice bottle of Cotes du Rhone before I finally managed to crack it.

Thanks again

Yeah right,

How are you, you 'ole soak? I suppose you've been on the Cotes du Rhone as well! Something must have oiled your brain for you to start posting!

There's always one know all on every board and if you hadn't gone over to get
my Christmas red wine supply from France I'd tell all this board what a bull shit
specialist you really are!

Only joking everyone, he is a nice chap but he's big enough to be two chaps!

Bye for now gan, come round soon and drink some of mine.
