ps2 version-7 best easy mod chip

Hi; i am a newbie but have read about 10 hours of threads so far on many topics. What is the easiest to install mod chip for ps2 version-7 which needs no other stuff with it? I think at whatever the cost backups are need,,, if u can imagine three boys ages 13-16 with xbox, game cube and ps2 systems and no scrached game disc!!!! please let me know of a better way to restore their disc if you have one. Thanks all!

I'm not too sure what the easiest would be for a v7 but the best is probably a DMS. I think one with less wires then others is the DUO chip. Check it out. put a search on it at google.

Thanks a lot. I did the google thing and found one for both the ps2 and also picked up one for the xbox. be back soon
