PS2 magic chip?

MAGIC...does anyone have this chip installed or know if its any good or not as im about to buy a ps2 and this chip is all that can be fitted im told,whats it like compared to the messiah chip?:confused:

Got myself a magic2 chipped ps2 about 3 weeks back , and i can say that it works 100% so far . :)

No problems so far , apart from one small detail that i have since found out is that the installer for some reason did not connect the Z point connections between the chip and mobo of ps2.:(
Now this is not a major problem if you are not planning on using an Action Replay 2 cheat catridge as it will not boot from the AR2 cd. So if you are planning on getting this chip make sure you make a point in mentioning this.

In comparison to the Messiah chip from what i gather, and i have yet to prove so myself ,is that the messiah trips up on 'Fade' protected games whereas the the magic2 eats this up for breakfast !
