Ps2 backup please help!!!

I have a problem playing backups on my ps2 any help much much apreciated

My ps2 plays all original dvd games and movies no problem

so i try playing legal backups using slide card + swap magic 2 dvd.

All games load fine but the videos are choppy sound skips stuff takes ages to load all the time vice city has disc read errors where it temporarily freezes, the cd is making hissing noises 4 times and moving like a maniac.

Ive tried a laser lens cleaner cd, helped a tiny bit but still huge problems.

All games are on ritek arita dvd+r (medium-dark blue bottom)
My ps2 is v7

If you know anybody that has a modded ps2, then try your backup on his ps2. I've been noticing that people that use Slide Cards experience many many problems with their backups. Slide isn't the way to go man.
