fantom cd(cdrsoft)
decent media-traxdata-discplanet-work 100% for me
create destination directory-eg within my docs for your image
install phantom cd
go to options
counting from top downwards tick box 1 3 4 and 5.
select image making wizard
select cd/dvd drive
at bottom of screen set seperate image file to 1 gb
press next
select image location
name image and press start
insert blank media
select image burning wizard
select image to burn and press start.
you should now have a burned ps2 backup.
now for the fun part-booting
i put my backup disc into the ps2 and it wont boot it just goes to the browser.
ooooh
when it goes to the browser press x on your buttons/control and after a couple of seconds you will have a picture of a memory card and a disc-
select the disc and press x-your game will boot.
this will not work with gold top discs at least not the ones that i have tried.
if you decide to try the above and it sticks when you reach the browser it means that your media is crap and is not liked by the ps2.
remember that the most important thing about ps2 backup is the media(thanks joanna)
if you only have a small amount of memory re-boot you machine before burning because if you dont you will waste a disc.
if this works as well for you as it does for me
