problems with TMPGenc.

When i browse in VIDEO SOURCE to my divx- file and select a file. The AUDIO SOURCE will NOT be filled in automatically. The OUTPUT FILENAME does well.
How does it come and what must i do to get the file also in AUDIO SOURCE ???

Thanks for helping.
But when i browse to the file as AUDIO SOURCE i get an error
****.avi can not open, or unsupported :( :( :(

Have you made sure your system has the installed codecs necessary to actually playback the soundtrack? (i.e. MP3). If not, TMPGEnc will also be unable to open the audio portion of the AVI file. I must admit, it would be VERY unlikely that you didn't already have MP3 codecs installed, but it is very strange for TMPGEnc not to open a file if you can play it back in Media Player.

CDrZeus.

you could try ripping out the audio, prior to TMPGEnc, with Virtual Dub. Then pointing TMPGEnc to the wav file as the audio. Should work.

Sometimes there there are corrupt headers in the audio stream, and TMPG doesn't like them too much.

PS There is a good DivX conversion guide on h**p://w*w.doom9.net and it mentions improper audio encoding and tells you how to get around it.

Hope this helps.
