Problems with sound at SVCD

Hi folks
I've got some problems on burning SVCD.
When the DVD was ripped and encoded I burned it to SVCD using NERO.
When I played the movie on my DVD-Player an pushed the FFD-button, the sound wasn't synchrone anymore. Mostly you saw the actor speaking and about 3 seconds later you heard the sound.
Did I make a mistake? Is this normal?
I hadn't any problems yet, when I burned VCD's.

Please excuse my English!!!

My DVD player does the same thing with SVCDs but I found that it catches up if I leave it for a few seconds. Seen this many times. With VCD no trouble just like you say.

Try pressing pause and then play again. Sometimes works.
Also if u have a resume button on your dvd player:
Press stop and then resume.
This can work on vcds as well if the sync starts to wander.
Depends on your player.

Unfortunately many DVD Players have this problem. You could try loading the mpg file into VCDEasy and get it to burn to SVCD. Nero has a few SVCD problems

I prefer to make .bin and .cue files with dvd2svcd and burn with burnatonce (or cdrwin!).
I like the change cd picture and chapters.

Nero always has a problem with SVCD format. I suggest you try VCDImager and TSCV (GUI in case you don't like to write xml code) to create bin/cue file and then burn with Burnatonce, cdrwin or Nero.

If you don't know how to use VCDImager I recommend h**p://www.vcdhelp.com/ for more info.
