problems with cd drive

I have just built my 3rd pc and am having a problem , the cd-rom drive isnt working. like it wont open/close its like it has no power
everything is plugged in to the mb. I have tried another cd drive incase it was faulty but no results

any help is aprecciated thanks

Try using a different molex connector. You might not be drawing any power from the current one. *pardon pun*

I finished downgrading my Duron. Finishing Athlon. 2 IDE cables from MB, primary, seconday. So many simple erros can occur. Take a 15 minute nap.

I am finally not getting locked up (the system!). A NAP as take your rmind off one SPECIFIC ITEM. You can think the wrong thing to death.
