(problems)macadams in sectors

hi duno where exactly to post this
i burnt some cds,but after checking with nero speed's scandisk(is this prog 100% reliable?),i found that some cds had damaged sectors, damaged & unreadable.
my question is ,where does the macadams come from...is it the burner's lens,cd-r media or burning s/w?
thx in advance

regards

Sounds to me like bad media. I have experienced that before. Most likely the defects were created during the mfg of the cd. All it takes is a particle of dust or a vibration to screw up the disc. All assuming that you have used the same brand media and s/w and burner b4, and that this never happened b4 with this config.
