Problems converting a divx AVI file

having probs converting Jet Li The One too mpeg, its been converted too an avi (divx format) and if I use nero too convert too SVCD the image is like looking in a mirror, a reflection, man it so weird, can anyone help me?

Greetz from the Diplomat :)

Use the tutorial by Chickenman to convert to (s)vcd.
Nero sucks when it comes to converting/encoding.
If its the same one I converted, then set Tmpgenc to 2.11:1 (keep aspect ratio, no margin) or it'll be squashed!

This is the 1st problem I have ever had converting avi's been doing it a long time, I think in future I will check the mpeg on me drive b4 burning, saves coasters, I have 3 datasafe 90min duff cd's, may as well use them as frisbies lmao

If its a conversion u r not sure about, its always worth doing a test run on a cdrw. 90min coasters are not good!!

sorted m8 cheers the picture is not inverted now, but I have no sound, I will work on that

load the avi into Virtualdub and save the sound file only, as an uncompressed wav, in tmpgenc load the avi for video and the saved wav for audio. then encode as usuall.
hope this helps

It works great although I use VirtualDub too extract the audio as a wav file and extract the Video as well, I then load them into TMGenc and get a near perfect picture quality every time. I encode @ 2100 bitrate, any higher and the sound is broken up.
