Problems burning Dvd's with the new lite-on 411s burner

HI guys i baught the lite-on 411s and installed it and when i tried using the software that it came with the Sonic myDVD and tried adding the dvd files it would tell me that the files are not compatible with the software. When i tried using Nero 6 burning rom it won't let me record because the burn buttom doesn't lite up for some reason in order for me to click on it. Its like nero is not recognizing the drive. But i can burn data to it with no problem it's just with movies. Thanks alot for the help

Sounds like your files you're trying to burn are not dvd compliant. Are you trying to make a dvd or are you trying to back-up a dvd?

Is the DVD you are trying to burn < 4.3Gb ?
