probleme with .avi !

i have a problem with *.avi video
i cant read it with media player on win xp.
someone say me that i couldn t read it because i have not a ati graphic card,true ?
-how i could read it , (layer , plugin or other method ) ?

Its got nothing to do with what type of Video Card you have, any working Video Card will do.

You need to install the DivX Codec, else Windows has no idea how to decode the movie data. Get ver 5 from _www.divx.com then Windows Media Player should play them fine.

i have installed the divx 5.0 but nothing.
i can listen the music but not looking the video !!!

Okay, then install ver 3.11a as well. Dont delete ver 5.

Ver 3.11a is attached. Read the readme on how to install.

probably, but no guarantees leakcim78.
Sometimes windows media player just can't play divX files. I have that problem sometimes (especially with the ones I make). I found it to be mainly on dual boot systems (not sure if you have that same setup).
However you should be able to play your DivX movies with the playa that installs itself with DivX. Try it & see if it works with it. If it does, then you know for sure it is just a windows media player problem.
