problem with writing

using Temgenc I get the following message whe attempting to write to a dvd disc.
"The provided folders structure cannot be accepted by a dvd" and then ejects the dvd. I have tried different dvd discs and it does the same.
The folder is a "Video_ts" folder and contains all bup's , ifo's etc so what am I doing wrong?

what software are you using to burn this compilation !?

sometimes i get this error with NERO when tying to burn some dvds so i use burnatonce to burn the compilation or RECORD NOW MAX

i have tried tempgenc authoring , nero recode and dvd shrink. Dvd shrink and nero both say "Error encountered cannot find file specified." but tempgenc says dvd structure unable to be written to dvd.

Your emprex dvd +/- writer is not a mainstream unit, are you sure Nero, etc can see and burn DVD's with this unit ? Have you burn other Video-DVD's with this unit okay or is the first one your trying ?

yes ,I have used it to burn full movies etc for the past 3 months with no problems. Using Shrink and Nero to burn.

I have got around the problem. By using tmpgenc to create a Video/ts folder of an existing DVD (actually the folder video-ts of the film) it now recognises the dvd in full and burns no prob as it created the folder!

Emprex? - is that a faceplate-only rebrand (same firmware) of a BTC - in which case software recognition of it should not be a problem
