help, my sony drx-510ul drive will not recognize dvd discs, not blank -rs +rws burnt media, purchased movies etc. i have purged my registry of any data related to burning progs which may cause conflicts, uninstalled programs as well, changed scsi adapters and anything else i could find on the net. and i am still stuck. sony tech support over the phone has been little help if any at all. if anyone has had any similiar experiences or has some background in this area of expertise please help.
now my burner did work long enough for me to use the drive to read and burn 2 discs. .
the only thing i did not do that i have seen online is to change 2 lines in registry somewhere in the hhkey folders.
more stuff which may help you answer me, running xp on a dell pentium 4 the drive is hooked up via firewire.
