Problem with reading discs burned from DVR-107D using different DVD-ROM

Recently I just bought a new Pioneer 107D. I've been using Princo Grade A DVD-Rs.

The DVDs I've burned with the burner cannot be read on my Pioneer DVD-105 DVD-ROM.

I burn at 4x. Any suggestions?

Thanks. :)

Well, I tried burning the DVD-R @ 2x. My DVD-105 can read it now, but guess what? I can't read the burned DVD on my DVR-107.

Either there's something very strange going on here or Princo DVD-Rs...suck.

It's the latter m8 ..... as mentioned above grab some Ritek G04's .... they cost a little more, but well worth the money.

Thanks guys.

Well, the plot thickens.

I used DVD Decryptor to burn a few DVD image and guess what, they all work perfectly on any and every drive I can find. My old DVD-Rom, my set-top DVD player, my neighbour's PS2 etc. etc.

I used the same batch of Princo Grade-As. It can't be a coincidence. Now I doubt it's specifically a Princo problem and think it's something to do with Nero. Looks like I'll either use different s/w or try reverting to an earlier version.

There is no plot at all.
All Princo media are of the same grade- grade zero, or rather grade minus one.
I guess you know what I mean...

Okay I have a batch of Ritek G04s now. Haven't really burned anything on them yet.

I have one question: I want to update my firmware possibly to v1.10. If I wanted to, am I able to revert to the original firmware?

Cheers.

In most burners this is possible, in a few not... but why revert? Is there any terribly good reason to do so?
