Problem with nero and nec nd1300

Latest version of nero is reporting that my nec nd1300 will only do 2 speed on a 4 speed dvd-r when i know it should do 4 speed
is there something wrong with my drive or does nero just not support 4 speed dvd writeing yet :confused: :mad:

Nero will do 4x, as it does it for my Sony. Maybe you need to upgrade your DVD-R BIOS to the latest version?

thanks for the info guys am now useing record now max but will try that info for nero as its my fav cd-r writeing programe and would love to use it form dvd-r writeing too

I have solved all my problems with my ND1300. I had two problems. It wouldn't burn any DVD from PRINCO or SW technology. I got error messages saying "illegal media". After installing the latest firmware v1.08 from www.cdrinfo.com everything was solved....almost. In Nero 6.0 I could still not choose a speed faster than x2. To fix this I had to go to Nero's website and get the latest update. Now I have version 6.0.0.19 of the Nero burning Rom and I can burn dvd's in x4 speed :)
