Problem with Multi-Session

I have been trying CDBurner Pro which seems to work ok. I like Burnatonce, but am having a hard time with multi session. After I write the second session, isobuster shows the session as open. No more sessions can be added and windows explorer only shows the first session. I have multi session checked in device options, and check new session and import session under iso setting when writing second session.
What am I doing wrong?

Probably you don;t do anything wrong... it can happen with certain burner brands. Can you name yours?
I should have supplied more info:
I'm running winxp home on a new emachine. Burner is a samsung 52x24x52 cd-r/rw sw-248F.

Running a test using native xp burning I was able to create sessions with no problem. However, I just tried to burn a large file of over 500mb and xp told be it couldn't and cd-r was possibly not useable.

Burned the file ok using CDBurnerXP Pro version 1.1.8 using same cd-r and verified, is ok.

In the past I have had failure to add sessions with both CDBurner and native xp. I may have mixed them up (ie used one then the other). Anyway, there is no consistency and when I do a controlled test using a cd-rw they both seem to work.
I would have been happy with CDBurnerXP Pro but they updated to a new Beta version now at 7 or 8 and managed to omit some of the features in the previous version. Since like I say I have had these random problems it may be the burner. I also want to try turning off the native xp burning, I can't think why that would cause a problem, but worth a try. Thank for your response

The right driver for your burner should be 'generic-mmc-raw" (CDRDAO uses that one for all new Samsung drives, but does not include official support for yours.
Open the file cdrdao.drivers (at /external folder) with a plain text editor, and add a line on the burners section:
W|SAMSUNG|CD-R/RW SW-248F|generic-mmc-raw
(please check your BAO logfile if the drive is indeed reported as "SAMSUNG CD-R/RW SW-248F" and change the above line accordingly). Or you could tick in the "raw" box on the burner options.

Did as above, no luck. Under device setting drive is shown as generic-mmc, same results whether using cd-r/w or cd-r, simply does not close the second session. The data is there, and I can successfully extract the 2nd session using isobuster (which reports 2nd session open), but cannot add a third session.
I would like to know if anyone else is using this same burner. The Roxio site shows support for a SW-248S, not sure what the difference might be between that S and my F. Mine would be an OEM model which lacks the phono output and volume control.
