problem ripping a disc

backing up one of my dvd's (whale rider) and i keep failing, using both dvdshrink and dvd decoder to rip. Here is the log from decoder:

that is the log from dvd decrypter actually, i mistyped in the begining.

Sounds like you have a faulty or flakie DVD. Have you tried cleaning it even though it may look clean. A tissue with some alcohol on it can help. Try using a different reader (your DVD Burner is good). Try also turning DMA off for your reader to get a slower but more consistant read.

Your DVD must be scratched, or badly pressed. Do as suggested on the above post, or you might also try to repair the scratches.

Thanks guys. I got it to work with dvd decrypter, i didnt have it in 'file' mode, but once i put it there, it ripped properly. Thanks for the help.
