problem making a vcd/svcd out of downloaded bin files

I have have downlaoded some bin files(movie), they are supposed to be SVCD's, however the only way I could actually watch them is to use intervideo WIN DVD4 by first mounting the bin image with DAEMON tools and then running an mpeg file in one of the directories on the cd (the directory is named MPEG2, and there are also 3 other directories that are called EXT, SEGMENT, and SVCD), the dvd player wont actually dedect it as being a cd (and obviously i tried it on my dvd player which does play svcd and vcd by byrning the bin to a cd and that didnt work either)

if anyone knows what I'm talking about and can please help me out I would really appreciate it.

How did you burned the bin file? as it is, as data cd? You can extract the mpeg file from the bin and burn it to cd as Super VCD.

I didnt burn the bin file onto the cd yet, i mounted the image on my hard drive using DAEMON tools (it's basically the same thing, except you dont waste CD's) and then i tried running the cd with a dvd player...

This may be a case of it being NTSC on PAL only system of PAL on NTSC !? ive had that problem but i can switch between modes on my standalone to resolve this :)

Just use IsoBuster to extract the MPG file from the AVSEQ01.MPG file (right click and select "Extarct but filter on M2F2 MPEG frames") and then burn to CD with VCDEasy as a SVCD.

ok i extracted the mpeg from the avseq01.mpg and when u use VCDeasy to try to burn to a cd as a svcd it saves it on my pc instead of actually burning it and sais there was a problem with my burner and to use..it tells me to use force driver, when i go to settings under force driver it sais default (also on the main screen under the choices for the cd writer I have several options two of them have my burner one sais 2,1,0 in front of it the other 3,0,0) any idea what i should do?

2,1,0 would be sec slave. 3,0,0 would be on some kind of PCI card.

Could always just create a BIN/CUE and then burn with say Alcohol 120%.

I agree I find Alcohol to be the best to burn BIN/CUE files.

What's your burner? Some burners just refuse to be set by CDRDAO (VCDEasy's burning engine) at the proper MODE (typically mode2/2352) which is required for VCD's.
PC-GUY: Alcohol does not burn multisession bin/cue files, or single session ones with tracks using different MODE- and so it might fail burning some VCD's.

I downloaded many bin&cue movies. Why burn it you can mount and watch??Mount with daemon tools but use a good player like mpc which will work 100% with daemon tools, and just click on """open svcd:::-done :)

WOW. I never had that problem. I've tried them in Alcohol's virual drive to see if they are worth burning then I use image burning wizard. I guess I'll know when it doesn't finishing burning, other wise how would you know?

my burner is an optorite CW4801 190E (when i go the the optorite site and try to d/l the latest firmware which is 210 E it wont let me flash my drive) I've been having so many prolems with this burner constantly freezing up and wasting tons of CD's that I think I'll get the Asus CRW-5232AS burner. I'll try burning my bin's with alcohol one more time... (any specific options I should have checked off?) and get back here with the results.

I also used nero to copy a bin file from my hard drive to a blank cd and the process failed at like 97%

Here is what the log said.

@ KEVIN88GT :
1. Open your box and put the secondary IDE channel devices in reverse order- your burner is set as slave, which is a bad idea.
2. Get after that "Nero Burning Rights" and run it. Currently you don't have the right permissions to burn.

You need ASPI's!!!

Thats what it should look like!! Currently you don't have any ASPI drivers installed. Try this:Tips for beginners to CDR burning

Mixing Nero, RecordNow (pxhelp20, probably a Winamp pro5 module) and Roxio (cdralw2k- again probably a WMP9 module) is definitely a bad idea.
ASPI is useful, but not required by Nero, RecordNow and several other programs, plus that 4.71.0001 that you use is problematic.
Finally, with such security setting only administrators can use Nero to burn.

And so is windows but that works for me too.
