problem converting dixv video clip

Hi,

I have a movie (685 mb) but when I went to convert it/burn it is shown as a divx "video clip" .... I am not sure what this is and hope someone can explain what type of film this is, ie an avi ?

Likewise I was told I could use a 100 minute cd-r to burn on my sony burner as I would do with a standard 74 or 80 minute one - is this possible please.

What you have is an AVI in DivX form. Nothing unusual about that.

You can burn it to an 80min CDR as is. However, if you convert it to VCD it depends on its length in minutes as to how many CD's or size of CDR you need to burn it to.
