Prob burning with Nero

Hi,

When burning a SVCD disc, Nero (v.5.5.9.9) give us the ability to make a menu.
But when I use a picture as thumbnail for the .mpg file ... the picture is FLIPPED VERTICALLY !
I have tried this with 3 different movies with the SAME RESULT !
This is a CRAZY thing ! ! ? ? ?

Any idea ?
Please help !

Simple solution, have a rotating TV ! Sorry couldnt help that.

What are the dimensions of the pictures your trying to use, try decreasing their size.

try saving the picture upside in a photo prog and using that, nero should in theory flip it back. i have no other solution

Hi,

I think there's a misunderstanding... as too little people are using a menu !
(or perhaps due to my bad English... I'm living in Belgium)
The mpg files done by DVD2SVCD works fine... very good quality (thanks to ChickenMan's tutorial).
But now for the 1st time, I want to put 3 mpg files (bonus movies from Monsters&Cie) on the same disc.
So... as I said before, Nero give us the ability to make a menu.
You can choose a picture from your HD as background of the menu, title of the movie, font,... and the number of thumbnails (till now everything works great !)
Then, You will be able for each movie to pick up a picture from the MOVIE ITSELFS (a little window displays the movie and with the slide bar you are able to make your choice)
But when your choice is done... Nero put the picture in the empty tumbnail and FLIPPED IT VERTICALLY !
So there's no way to edit and change the picture !

This make me crazy ?!?!

I have to rectify the following : the movie is already displayed flipped vertically in the little window with the slide bar.
I think it's probably a bug in Nero 5.5.9.9 ... but I'm not sure !

Help... help... is there anybody making Menus with SVCD movies ?

when trying to make the menu for svcd with nero choose from the drop-down menu[ maximize or tile ]this is the only two ways that work.

Forget nero as it does have a lot of bugs.
Try using Ulead video studio 6.
this does it all including making menus-joining mpegs-creating dvd-svcd-vcd etc and is very easy to use.give it a go.if you prefer nero i have posted a site for the new nero 5.5.9.13 so the new one is there if you want to try it out

I have somewhere on a CD : Roxio video pack 5.0...
Is this a good software... can I use it for SVCD menus ?

Each computer configuration is one of a kind...
Yes I known that VCDEasy is a good freeware... but it doesn't
work for me :
there is no more choice for the 2 nd audio stream... and movie freezes at several points !

I'm using Nero for more than 5 years now... never had problems with this software !
I'm also using it for burning DVD Video (100% success!)

But we must be honest, each software has BUGS !
