Power DVD 5 and Remote Selector

I´ve downloaded Power DVD 5 to give it a try and see whats new then I tried to use Remote Selector 2.2 to disable the region setings but I found that after running RS instead of letting me play any region dvd Power DVD wasn´t able to play any dvd even if I shut down Remote Selector and rebooted the only way I could get Power DVD to play again was uninstalling and reinstalling Power DVD.

Does any1 had a similar experience or knows whats the problem with this?

Well I've installed power dvd 5 too in mypc but I use dvd-genie.I suggest it to you!I think it's the best.Try it and let me know..

dvd genie is very good been using it over the years, but it will not work on WinXP best of all dvd genie is free.
Another good program to manage your region is DVD REGION FREE...

I used DVD REGION FREE until I got the modified firmware to make my Pioneer 105 RCE-free and Region Free. Now have no problems.

Couldn´t answer before I had a very busy weekend.

I downloaded dvdgenie 4.10 and everything seems to be working fine now.

@ RASTABT
This version is working fine with XP, here´s the update info:

What's new in v4.10:

* I've run some simple tests and from what I can see, the Windows-XP
region system is identical to the system used in Windows 2000.

* Fix for the CoolDVD region code to work with CoolDVD v2.40

* New buttons to Register/Unregister the PowerDVD DirectShow filters.

* Slight change to the mechanics of the WinDVD reset region function.

* Two Additional Audio Range values for WinDVD, try them out.

* New button on the PowerDVD tab to get the version of the
PowerDVD DirectShow filters.

* Compatibility fixes to make WinDVD 4.xx settings work.

Thanks everyone
